AMCHP members represent a diverse group of professionals and leaders, those that are emerging, mid level and established individuals in maternal and child health. AMCHP is fortunate to make available three different scholarships through partnerships and support from individual and organizational donations as well as through federal grants to promote the leadership development of our diverse members.
Family Scholars Program
The Family Scholars Program (FSP) represents an opportunity to identify, encourage and train family leaders. This 12-month program strives to provide Family Scholars with the knowledge, tools and resources to enhance their development as family leaders, and to promote policies, programs and systems at the national, state and/or local level that address important issues impacting the health and well-being of women, children and families, including children and youth with special health care needs. Selected individuals receive a full scholarship to attend the AMCHP Annual Conference.
Realityworks & Go Beyond MCH Graduate Student Scholarship
AMCHP has partnered with Realityworks and Go Beyond to offer a new graduate student scholarship. The scholarship is designed to assist one graduate student in furthering their education and sponsor their attendance at the upcoming AMCHP Annual Conference to hone their leadership skills and connect them with existing leaders within MCH.
Ryan Colburn Scholarship
The Ryan Colburn Scholarship specifically targets a youth leader with special health care needs (SHCN) to provide them an opportunity to attend the AMCHP Annual Conference. It was established in 2010 in memory of Ryan Colburn, a youth leader active in MCH and SHCN issues in his home state of Alabama and at the national level.
